MAD DOGS and ENGLISHMEN
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Joe Cocker’s groundbreaking live album and tour, MAD DOGS and ENGLISHMEN. Serving as a dedication to Joe Cocker and Leon Russell, the show will be recreated with the exact 20-piece personnel from the original tour including, for your delight, Cosmic Kiddies, English Roadies, Children with the Answers, Cooking Italians, Presidents of Recording Companies, Acrobatics and Displays, The Odd Sane Dog, The Space Choir, Assorted Sound Freaks, and All Elements of the Truth.
This event will feature guests and include all songs from the entire tour beyond those on the original album release, with large interpretations of songs by rock and soul greats including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Leonard Cohen, Traffic, Leon Russell, and more. Songs from the original tour include: “With a Little Help from My Friends,’ “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window,” “Let It Be,” “Feelin’ Alright,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Cry Me a River,” “Darling Be Home Soon,” “Delta Lady”, "The Letter", and many other favorites.
Taking on lead vocals is national song-stylist and showman Remember Jones, who is on the rise while sharing stages with notable acts such as Bruce Springsteen, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes, Darlene Love, Buster Poindexter, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Low Cut Connie, and more. He has been a member of the acclaimed Everyone Orchestra alongside Robert Randolph, Steve Kimock and members of Ween, moe., Turkuaz, The Revivalists, and more. He has been mentioned in Rolling Stone, Variety, Paste, Relix, and more with his original music, high energy, show-band staging, and creative, theatrical events playing to packed and sold-out clubs and theaters throughout the United States.

The T-Rex Theater
The Double E Performance Center is home to The T-Rex Theater - a 400 seat multipurpose events space that hosts blockbuster movies, the best-sounding concerts, engaging speaking events, live-streamed programs, and private rentals as well!
This is a general admission seated show in the T Rex Theater - seats are first-come, first-served. Our theater is outfitted with plush reclining chairs featuring cup holders that make for the most comfortable concert-going experience in Vermont.
Unless otherwise listed, our shows are all ages. All guests need a ticket to seated shows. Much like an airline, we will welcome well-behaved babies who can stay seated on their parent's laps. We ask that parents remove loud or distracting children and cooperate if our concert staff ask you to do so. Drinks are allowed in the theater; cupholders are available with each chair.
Dancing is more than welcome! We will never ask you to sit down, but please be aware of your impact on your neighbors. Folks are welcome to dance in aisleways so long as they follow the directions of our concert staff. Folks may be asked to vacate aisleways at times and dance in their seats. Seat aisles are larger than most theaters!
Please take note that most of our concerts often feature visualizers, flashing lights, and fast movement. We also broadcast the concerts in our Double E lounge so you literally don’t miss a beat.
Tickets are nonrefundable unless the show is completely canceled.
The Essex Experience is an effort to reclaim retail spaces and turn them into cultural centers. You can spend a whole day here at Black Flannel Brewery, Black Flannel Distillery, Magic Mann Cannabis Cafe, Sukho Thai, Uncommon Coffee, Arthound Gallery, The Mad Taco, The Double E Performance Center, Essex Cinemas, and so much more.
